All I Want For Christmas....

.... is two new hips!

Look I am getting ready for the holidays! I hear that red is very festive!

Haha! Not a conventional request, I know. I would really like two new hips for Christmas so that I am able to chase the kitties run and play with my mommies again. They used to like to take me hiking and sightseeing but now I am in to much pain to go anywhere fun.

Good ol' days

Both of my mom's really try to make up for it though but snuggling me and spoiling me at home!!!

I love cuddle time!

What are all of you bloggy friends planning on doing for the holidays? Is there anything on your list that you are really hoping for?

Thankful

Hi everyone, Murphy here.

I just was wondering what everyone is thankful for?

I will tell you that I am thankful for my moms, being warm and dry in my home, my friends, and everyone that has donated to help me with my surgery.

We have raised $335 so far. Thank you thank you thank you! I really appreciate that. We have roughly $5500 to go. I know that sounds like a lot but I have faith that Tazzy Fund will help raise more funds so that I can get the surgery I need to make my legs feel better!

Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Introductions...

Hello, my name is Murphy and I am a 10 month old boxer. I have a wonderful home with very loving people! In my previous home, I lived with my litter mates and my mom and dad. The lady that bred my parents didn't really realize the repercussions of backyard breeding until she realized that I was deaf, making it hard to find a home for me. She then was kind enough to contact some nice people at Tazzy Fund to ask for help. They offered to help place my sister Alice and myself if she would alter my parents to prevent anymore puppies (in case you aren't aware, there are so many boxers out there that need homes).

my dad. isn't he handsome?

A very nice couple offered to foster my sister and me. We stayed with them and their silly boxer girl Bella,  until Tazzy Fund was able to find the perfect and forever home for us.

"I like you"!

Alice was really easy to place, but I was a little more difficult since my new parents needed to not only be boxer savvy but needed to understand the differences of living with a deaf doggie. Well guess what? A very nice couple applied to adopt me and the nice lady was deaf just like me!!!! Isn't that cool? Once Tazzy Fund decided that this was the perfect home for me, I got to move in with them. I said goodbye to my super nice foster parents and my silly foster boxer sister and headed off to start my new life.

my deaf mommy- she can't hear... just like me, so we have a special bond.

Let me just tell you that I love my life, my parents and my super spoiled adventures! I do miss my sister sometimes but my parents take me to doggy daycare so that I get to play with lots of other doggies. I have learned sign language commands so that my parents and I understand each other very clearly. I couldn't be luckier!

Day care fun with my friends

Okay, well I guess I could be just a little luckier... You know Murphy's Law... "Anything that can go wrong, probably will go wrong". My parents recently noticed that I was limping a bit and took me to the doggie doctor. He has found that my hip isn't even in the socket and I need something called a bilateral hip replacement (meaning both of my hips). See this is also a big problem with "backyard breeding". Boxers tend to have medical problems but I have a little more than usual.

Once again, Tazzy Fund stepped up and has offered to help. They sent me to the best orthopedic vet in the state. Even with Tazzy Fund's rescue discount, the cost including follow up visits will be $12,000. Now of course my parents would do anything for me but that is a lot of money to come up with at once. Soooo, Tazzy Fund is going to fund raise the first  $6,000 so that I can have the first hip done to help alleviate some of my tremendous pain.

This blog will be to help fund raise for my surgery and to update all of you as I go along this journey. I hope that you enjoy my blog, the stories and the pictures that I will be sharing with you.

XO,

Murphy
